A 13 years old girl was taken to a hotel raped overnight. The victim’s statement is that one of the perpetrators in a group of two, raped her overnight and another person recorded the video. The victim’s medical examination report also confirmed that she was raped, and there were marks on her body of syringe that was injected to intoxicate the girl. However, Siraha District Court has acquitted the victim of this brutal rape case.
The incident took place in the month of Bhadra 2080 and the verdict was delivered on Asad 18, 2081. However, the fact that the court acquitted the defendant even in a case of heinous rape came to light only after the case reached the High Court.
A complaint was filed at the District Police Office, Siraha, against two people for raping their 13-year-old sister on Bhadra 7, 2080. The complaint alleged that the accused, Pramesh Kumar Yadav and Rajkumar Chaudhary, raped their sister on the pretext of getting her a job.
