A complaint has been filed with the Judicial Council requesting an investigation and action against two High Court judges who acquitted former minister Mohammad Aftab Alam in the Rautahat bomb blast and murder case.
Yubaraj Poudel filed the complaint against Judges Dr. Khushi Prasad Tharu and Arjun Maharjan of the Birgunj bench at the Janakpur High Court. He alleges that the judges ignored the district court’s verdict and the available evidence when they acquitted Alam. The complaint also calls for their immediate suspension, an investigation, and a review of their past rulings.
