Three members of the same family were murdered in Butwal. A woman and her two daughters were brutally killed at Horizon Chowk. The victims were Deepa Basyal, about 34 years old, and her daughters, seven-year-old Sneha and four-year-old Himani.
According to the police, the main suspect is Deepa’s ex-husband, Sujan Koirala. The couple had divorced a few years ago. Sujan had previously been jailed for killing his own brother but was reportedly pardoned. Police believe he called Deepa to the house and then killed her and their daughters.
