INDIA RECORDS 7 COVID DEATHS IN A DAY AND 2900+ ACTIVES CASES

COVID

India’s COVID-19 cases are rising again, with almost 3,000 active cases reported as of May 30. Just four days earlier, on May 26, there were only 1,010 cases. This shows a fast increase in infections.

Kerala has the highest number of cases at 1,147. After that, Maharashtra has 424 cases, Delhi has 294, and Gujarat has 223. Tamil Nadu and Karnataka both have 148 cases, while West Bengal has 116.

Other states with smaller numbers include Rajasthan (51), Uttar Pradesh (42), Puducherry (25), Haryana (20), Andhra Pradesh (16), Madhya Pradesh (10), Goa (7), and four each in Odisha, Punjab, and Jammu & Kashmir. Three cases each have been reported in Telangana, Arunachal Pradesh, and Chandigarh. Mizoram and Assam have two cases each.

No active cases have been found in Himachal Pradesh, Sikkim, or the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Bihar’s data hasn’t been shared yet.

This month, at least seven people have died after testing positive for COVID-19. Two of them—one in Maharashtra and one in Delhi—had other serious health problems too. It’s still not clear if COVID-19 was the main cause of death for the others.
