CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has said that bricks thrown by monarchists should be answered with stones.
Speaking at the Third National Conference of the Young Communist League on Sunday, Prachanda stated, “We want to live peacefully, but if we are attacked, we will respond with stones to their bricks.”
He added, “We won’t start any violence ourselves. We’ll tell the people that our movement is peaceful. But if anyone tries to attack us, we will defend ourselves. We are ready. If needed, we can even lead another rebellion.”
Prachanda explained that their ongoing campaign is a preparation for a possible future socialist revolution. “There can be no revolution without connecting with the people. What we are doing now is getting ready for that,” he said.
He also emphasized that it is the responsibility of the Maoist Center to protect the republic.
