Senior advocate Shambhu Thapa misbehaved with a journalist. He allegedly tampered with the camera of journalist Umesh Karki, who was taking his picture.
Thapa is said to have struck Karki’s camera while leaving the CPN-UML party office in Aloknagar, Kathmandu.

The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) filed a corruption case against Unified Socialist Party Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal in a special court on Thursday. M.K. Nepal, who was in his home district of Rautahat, returned to Kathmandu for discussions with party leaders.
Nepal had called senior advocates Shambhu Thapa and Govinda Bandi to the party office for the discussions. As Thapa was leaving the party office following the meeting with Madhav Kumar Nepal, journalists were photographing him.
At that moment, Thapa attempted to remove journalist Karki’s camera with his hand, accusing him of taking photos without permission.
