Kathmandu, June 22 – “Laws alone are not enough; without effective implementation and social awareness, change is impossible,” said senior advocate Meera Dhungana at a special event organized by NaLC Feminist Spark titled ‘Feminist Voice in Law: A Conversation with Meera Dhungana’.

She emphasized that modern forms of violence against women—mental, economic, cyber, and social exclusion—often go unaddressed by current legal frameworks. Dhungana highlighted the gap between society and the justice system, calling for collective and individual efforts to bridge it. The event saw active participation from female legal professionals, students, and activists, with an interactive session moderated by Prashna Mahat. Participants expressed hope that such discussions would strengthen perspectives on women’s rights and access to justice.
